The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for applying engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products. Functions may include determining the machines, equipment, tools and sequencing necessary to perform machining and assembly operations. Scrap reduction experience is desired. Experience working in an automated environment is desired. Experience within a Lean Mfg. environment is mandatory. Candidates coming from a metal fabrication / assembly factory will acclimate faster to our environment.
Candidates will have an earned BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or Industrial Engineering plus 3-5 years of applicable engineering work experience. Other degree programs will be considered provided the work experience is closely related. Demonstrated knowledge of engineering design, tooling design, lean mfg., automation and up to date QC techniques are all preferred skill sets. Safety in the workplace must also be foremost in the engineer's thinking as these duties are performed.
